This Sunday kick back and enjoy some Slow Food in London

From Sunday March 1st Rosewood London will launch their weekly ‘Slow Food & Living Market’ in the serenity of the hotel’s grand inner courtyard.

The Slow Food Market, meaning Sustainable, Local, Organic and Wholesome has been created by Rosewood London’s newly appointed Executive Chef, Amandine Chaignot.  The Food & Living Market will recreate the traditional marketplace shopping experience in the heart of London.  It will celebrate good clean and fair produce from local growers and artisans.

The weekly market will open every Sunday come rain or shine from 10.30-3.00pm and will feature over 30 different Slow Food and Living merchants carefully selected for their exceptional quality.

Amandine Chaignot, inspired by the ethos and passion the merchants invest in harvesting their produce, says ‘It’s impossible to not be excited by all the fresh and fabulous ingredients on offer – I am already planning new menus and interesting ways to incorporate them into Rosewood London’s culinary offerings at Holborn Dining Room, Scarfes Bar and the Mirror Room.’   Slow Food refers to regional, fresh, in-season produce which has been thoughtfully harvested, using responsible growing practices taking into consideration people and planet.  The fish is wild and responsibly caught, the meat is pasture-raised and the eggs and dairy are free of GMOs, hormones and antibiotics.
