Mr Brainwash, AKA Thierry Guetta, the Los Angeles based filmmaker and pop artist has landed in London.

He has been for the past ten years following and filming some of the most renowned street artists.

Mr Brainwash is well known for his Oscar nominated film Exit Through The Gift Shop, which featured the highly acclaimed street artist Banksy.

Working with and filming such talented artists inspired Mr Brainwash.  He started hitting the streets all over the world, with spray painted stencils and posters of his pop inspired images.

Exhibitions have been held in American where Mr Brainwash takes large spaces and buildings using them as a canvas, creating giant installations and murals.  Now for the first time he has brought an exhibition to London, in fact it’s the first time his work has been seen on this scale in Europe.

In the disused Old Sorting Office building in New Oxford Street, Mr Brainwash has created one of the most electric exhibitions I have ever seen.  The outside of the building gives you an idea of what’s in store inside, but nothing prepares you for the scale or quality of his work.  He is a hugely gifted artist whose wit comes through in every picture and installation.

The scale of the exhibition is huge, the amount of exhibits, the installations and the size of the building.  What do you have to pay to see such talent?  Nothing, the entire exhibition is free.  Not only is it free you are given the choice of poster and postcard to take away with you.

Mr Brainwash believes in sharing the love, he follows his motto of “Life is Beautiful” and “Never, Never Give Up” he is involved in helping over 30 different associations like Keep A Child Alive, Toys for Tots and The Red Cross.  There were collections for Great Ormond Street Hospital at the exhibition, to which I hope people gave generously.

The exhibition has been extended until 7th September, if you have a chance to get to London to see it you really won’t be disappointed.  I have only shown you photographs of the outside of the building so as not to spoil the exhibition.

One word of advice; if you go take a rubber band with you to secure the poster, and leave all your pens at home you won’t be allowed in with them.  If you can’t get to the exhibition the website is well worth a visit.
