Deciem reformulate their award-winning serum and it’s better than ever!
Deciem has just launched the updated and reformulated version of their multi-award winning NIOD Copper Amino Isolate Serum (CAIS). CAIS 2:1 is the second generation of the best-selling serum and replaces Copper Amino Isolate Serum 1%.
What does copper do for the skin?
Copper is a natural occurring mineral within our skin. It aids in repairing damaged skin and is a key mineral in lysyl oxidase, an enzyme which helps to bind collagen and elastin. Copper helps to repair damaged skin and due to the small peptide molecule, it can penetrate deeply. Not only does copper stimulate the production of new collagen and elastin, it’s thought that it can also help in removing damaged cells by pushing them to the skin’s surface for exfoliation. This is especially beneficial to skin showing deep wrinkles, sun damage and age spots.
As we age our levels of naturally occurring copper peptides decrease, and by the age of 60, the concentration in human plasma will have dropped by 60%.
Copper can help repair textural damage, uneven skin tone and skin generally lacking in radiance. It increases healthy collagen and elastin production which results in firmer tighter skin. Copper is a strong antioxidant as well as being anti-inflammatory, it can balance oil secretion and increases moisture retention.
What is NIOD Copper Amino Isolate Serum 2:1 (CAIS2)
CAIS2 is a pro-repair pro-collagen serum for healthy looking skin. It contains GHK copper peptides known as GHK-Cu. In this second-generation formulation, Copper Amino Isolate Serum 2:1, contains 2% of pure GHK peptide. 1% branches with copper ions upon mixing with NIOD’s patent-pending approach, forming 1% freshly assembled, pro-repair GHK-Cu (copper peptides) and leaving 1% free-form, pro-collagen GHK peptide. So, you have a serum which is activating skin healing and repair, as well as stimulating the fibroblasts to produce more collagen and elastin, which results in younger looking skin. CAIS also contains a non-animal form of hyaluronic acid which helps with delivery of water and water-soluble actives through its non-equilibrium gel structure.

How to use NIOD Copper Amino Isolate Serum 2:1 (CAIS2)
CAIS2 is a serum which is delivered in two bottles. One is the activator and the other the serum. Before use pour the entire contents of the activator into the serum and dispose of the bottle. Shake for 30 seconds to combine, and the dropper bottle is ready for use.
After cleansing morning and night drop a small amount of CAIS2 into the palm of your hand and pat gently into the face and neck avoiding the eye area. Wait a few minutes to allow penetration before applying a serum or moisturiser. Using more product will not give better results – save your money!

Who is NIOD CAIS2 suitable for?
If you are showing signs of ageing, then CAIS2 is right for you. It is not worth using before the age of 30 as you will still have adequate amounts of naturally occurring copper peptides in your skin. If you have lines, wrinkles, sun damaged skin, you’ve smoked or had medical treatment. If your skin is lacking in radiance firmness and tone, then it is likely that CAIS2 will be beneficial.
How quickly will I see results from using CAIS2?
This depends so much on the quality of your skin when you start using the serum, what damage has been done in the past, as well as your lifestyle choices. You should see an improvement in skin texture after the first month of use, but continued use will show the best results.
How much does NIOD Copper Amino Isolate Serum 2:1 (CAIS2) cost?
The price has not been increased, CAIS2 costs the same as CAIS.
15ml £38.00 - available December 2017
